Low and Slow To Build Muscle, Lose Weight, and Avoid Injuries
Weight Loss Success
When I first started to strength train (weight train), I did high reps and low weight. Although I toned up, I was only able to attain a certain level of results.
I then switched to using high weight and doing fewer reps. I saw even bigger results. The size of my arms increased, and I got a lot stronger.
The problem becomes that high weight and low reps tend to cause injuries. These injuries can force you to stop strength training the injured area for a few weeks.
I have something that I have been doing for a few weeks that seem to works. It is Low and Slow. When strength-training try using low weight, low reps, and do it very slow. Do each set until your muscles feel fatigued. Fatigued is the key to building muscle. It can really give you a great workout.
If you want a good workout, and you want to minimize injury, try low and slow and always remember to consult your doctor before starting any exercise program.
